MADARA, 2006 - 2007
m1m2 m3m4 m5m6
Madara is an inner jouney, a "Memory Box" from which emerge images of the past, present, futur and dreams.

The main topic of Madara is the relation to the Other.
Sometimes the same, sometimes a stranger.

For her interpretation Mayumi Fukuzaki was inspired by the character of "Yamamba"
This being is part of numerous Japanese legends and is associated with a ghost, a demon but also a nurturing mother, loving and protective.
